Fallow Buck in the Kawakawa
I first encountered a Fallow many moons ago while living in rural TePuke and was shocked to learn they made a "bark" or "croak" rather than the classic roar like a Red Stag. Fallow are generally small but wiley wee fellas, no fence was an issue for them, ultimate escape artists.
